The Trevor Project

June’s Pride Month was amazing! A record turnout at the parade and positive, safe events as we marked 50 years since Stonewall Inn.

Ditto teamed-up with our Brooklyn neighbors – and longtime friends – Elsewhere to match the amount of money they raised for The Trevor Project through proceeds throughout June. We are proud to report that through this match we will be donating $5,000 to a very important cause.

The Trevor Project does incredible work as the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youths. LGBTQ+ youth are 5 times more likely to have had a suicide attempt than a heterosexual youth, while 40% of transgender adults reported having attempted suicide (source).

Not only is this an important cause, but we also thought that teaming-up with Elsewhere was a great way to merge our love and support for the LGBTQ+ community, local Brooklyn businesses, and the arts.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Pride and that you continue to remember the messages of love and celebration of self all day every day.
