Ditto Opens West Coast Office, Hires Blain Rethmeier to Lead

Today, we  announced the opening of Ditto West Coast and the hiring of communications veteran Blain Rethmeier to run the office.

Ditto takes a no-nonsense, results-focused approach to client work and is expanding to meet the growing demand of its clients in the consumer, technology, nonprofit, education and financial services sectors.  The firm will also add two new offerings to its array of integrated services including crisis communications and “Inside-the-Beltway” communications for Bay Area companies and startups seeking a voice in the political, policy and regulatory conversation unfolding in Washington, D.C.

Most recently, Rethmeier led Edelman’s Western Region Crisis & Risk Practice and was the firm’s lead for their Los Angeles corporate practice.  Blain has also served in senior communication roles for the American Insurance Association and the U.S. Travel Association and has extensive experience in the White House, at federal agencies and on Capitol Hill.  He served as special assistant to President George W. Bush for communications in both the National Economic Council and Homeland Security Council and was called upon by the current Administration to help lead the Senate confirmation for General John Kelly, the current Secretary of Homeland Security.
